Spreading the Word of the Lord throughout the Solomons.

What we do

SolomonsWisdom.org arose out of an IRS designated 501(c)(3) Ohio non-profit corporation, Solomon Islands Wisdom, Inc. (SIWI), which supports Father Albert Kalu and the Dominican mission throughout the Solomon Islands. SIWI resulted from the association and influence of Ohio natives, Robert J. Schmidt, Robert L. Smith, Charles Leroy Roberts and Milton C. Coppock, friends at Fairview High School in the 1930s, and Douglas J. Schmidt, their respective grandson and great nephew. The four lived, and the fifth lives, Paul’s admonition to the Philippians:

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit; but
in humility regard others as better than yourselves.
