Happy and joyful greetings from the 99 Islands of Russells. Louna is one of its Island and on it, has the largest Catholic community.

Again, we reached the great event of Easter. In my Parish, our parishioners  come together in the Mission station and camped for the Easter celebrations.

This time, Ministry of Light Program happened in Tanagai Parish in the Western side of Honiara. The program started on Friday, February 23rd, to Sunday, the 25th. Hundreds of Ministry of Light members from both Auki, Gizo, and Honiara Diocese attended.

Saturday, 10 February 2024, becomes a joyful and memorable day for the Catholic Diocese of Honiara. Two young men who have just completed their 8 years of studies last year in the Holy Name of Mary Seminary, now have been ordained into Deaconate order.

Happy and merry Christmas greetings to you all! Now we reach Christmas again, the greatest event where we recalled the birthday of our Lord Jesus Christ and celebrate his nativity.

Here in our Diocese, in this last month of December, we undertook our annual Priests retreat that took place in Buma Parish.

I had the opportunity to attend another memorable occasion in our Diocese, namely meeting the Marist Society Conferees who serve in Dala Parish. The decision to end mission work in Dala is the Society’s Council; The S.I.’s still need their work.

On Wednesday 25 th October 2023, I am so privileged and honoured to be invited to be a Guest of Honour for the official closing of one of our primary school here.

Family members and friends gathered together again to remember and pray for my late brother Joseph Luis who died in 2022.

I had the opportunity to travel to the Western Province again to attend the Episcopal installation of the New Bishop for Gizo Diocese.
