Ministry of Light Program
Greetings to you all once again!
I am so privileged to join the Ministry of Light program again.
This time, it happened in Tanagai Parish in the Western side of Honiara. The program started on Friday, February 23rd, to Sunday, the 25th. Hundreds of Ministry of Light members from both Auki, Gizo, and Honiara Diocese attended.
In the three days program, the founder of the ministry gave talks on the theme: “communion, participation, and mission,” the concept of the synadol church that Pope Francis highlights in the church today. The founder encourage the ministry members to reflect on the words and act on them in their lives.
He also stressed that the faith and church that people are part of today is what the Marist Missionary Society brought to the S.I. in the 1890’s. He challenged the people to see that the missionary time of the church is over and it is their time now to take over.
The inspiring and empowering program of the Ministry of Light ended on Sunday, February 25th, in a 9:00 am Mass. After speeches, presentation of gifts to Tanagai Parish for the use of the venue, and feasting till 5:00 pm, the program officially ended.
With wishes and regards to you all!
Yours sincerely in Christ!
