Ministering in Buma Parish – West side of Malaita Island
Greetings again from the Solomon Islands. In this month of October I, Fr. Albert had an opportunity to visit the Buma parish at their request.
During the time, i have opportunity to train 14 of their young people, (12 boys and 2 girls) to become Prayer leaders for their respective communities. I have chance to do pastoral visit in their local communities and join them in this month of rosary prayer for families.
Buma parish is a significant parish in the Diocese of Auki. Because it is where the Catholic church first shored in and established in 1913. Also Buma is significant because it is situated in the Langalanga lagoon an area known for producing shell money and ship building in the Solomons.
May God bless you all.
Yours sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Albert Kalu
