Here are the photos taken of the Deaconate celebration here. The young man who is ordained is from the parish where I serve in as parish priest. The first man to ascend into the high ministry in the church among the Kwaio people here.

Kwaios have been known for resisting of the government powers in the past and still maintain their pagan way of life. This ordination is history for them. It happens 62 years since the church establish among them in 1957. Now these people who live in darkness have seen a great light.

The ordination takes place in St Augustine Cathedral in Malaita the second to be convers by new bishop of Malaita Bishop Peter Hou Hou.
