PALM SUNDAY CELEBRATION, IGWA CATHOLIC COMMUNITY, BUMA PARISH
Greetings to you all once again!
This time, we ended the Lenten journey and so enter into the Holy week that leads now to the solemnity of Easter celebration where we reflect upon the paschal mystery of Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection.
The entry of this solemn week now starts today, Sunday March 29, 2026 which is palm Sunday. Here in my Parish, I manage to celebrate the solemn Mass of Palm Sunday at Igwa Catholic community, an inland community within my Parish and hundreds of people come to attend this mass.
The celebration started outside of the church in a designated place prepared by community for the blessing of palms. After the blessing, the people pick up the palms and process to the church house where the second part of the celebration is carried out. The liturgy of word and Holy eucharist.
Indeed it is a great spiritual moment for the people as they are in the holy week now and so prepare themselves for the coming days of prayer.
With prayers and wishes to you all!
Yours sincerely in Christ!
