We are celebrating the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Heaven. The feast day falls on Friday 15 the August, 2025 and here in SI, it is the patron for all Catholic mothers.

As we are now in the middle of the year, our Diocesan program continues. On the 1st of July to the 8th of July 2025. Four Parishes with in the central Deanary of Auki Diocese come together for the celebration of St. Maria Goretti day which falls on July 6th and Blessed Peter Torot day on July 8th .

Pentecost is our parish patron feast day, the day of the Holy Spirit. Here in Buma again, it is time of prayer for the Parishioners.

Now we reach the climax of the Lenten journey and so celebrate the tridium celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ’s paschal mystery.

Joyous greetings of Christmas to you all! Now we reach the end of the year 2024 and so enter the solemn occasion of Christmas. Christmas is time when we reflect upon Christ’s coming as man in this world. He brings peace, joy, and glad tidings for all. St. John says Christ is the new light for all.

Indeed a great blessing for all of us as we journey through the year and now looking forward for Christmas festive celebrations again. Here, as we are at the final months of 2024, We Priests from the 3 Dioceses in S.I. have come together for a Priests retreat.

In this month of August, we have another important celebration in our Diocese, it is the celebration of the Catholic mothers. A total of four (4) thousand womens from the 12 parishes within Auki Diocese, gathered together at Takwa Parish Mission station for the celebration.

August 15th in Catholic Church calendar is solemn feastday of the Assumption of Mary. Here, is a special time for our Catholic Mothers again.
