Catechist Training & Ongoing formation, Alanata Community
Greetings to you all once again!
Here, we have more rain and wind in this month of July but life goes on well.
Wish to let you know that on the 5th-8th of July, I conducted a small training for Catechists in my Parish at Alanata, a small village in the mountains of KWAIO. Ten Catechist from communities of the Parish attend.
Subjects covered are “Homiletics” (Preaching God’s word) and Rite of “Christian funeral” (How to conduct burials when death arise in communities). The trainings aims at equipping the community leaders with good knowledge of Church matters, so that they can responsible for their communities as well become good work partners with me their Parish Priest.
The training is so fruitful that at the end, the community of Alanata put on a small feasting to thank all the catechist for selecting their community as venue for the training.
With wishes and regards to you all!
Yours sincerely in Christ!
Fr. Albert Kalu
