Greetings to you all in the name of the the Holy Spirit. Following the liturgical calendar of the church, we have reached the end of the Easter season that has its summit now in the solemn Feast of the Pentecost: the time when our lord Jesus Christ sent the Holy spirit over the Apostles and the church.

Here, Pentecost is the patron feast day of our Parish and it becomes a great and happy time for our Parishioners. From their isolated and remote villages, they come to join in the prayers and masses in the station.

Again, we have been privileged that our Bishop humbled himself to come back to our Parish a second time to celebrate Mass of the Pentecost and to confer the sacrament of confirmation to our Parish candidates. 400 candidates have received the sacrament. In receiving the sacrament, the Bishop encourages the candidates to open up their hearts and lives to the Holy Spirit so that the Holy Spirit can give them wisdom and understanding on the things in life.

After the celebration of the Holy Mass, all proceeded to the other part of the celebration that is feasting and entertainment. The candidates who received the sacrament of confirmation offer to the Bishop a traditional shell money as sign of their appreciation and thank the Bishop who makes himself available for the event.

Everyone enjoyed the celebration and all returned to their respective homes.
