A CHARITY SISTER’S FINAL PROFESSION CELEBRATION, HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, BUMA, DIOCESE OF AUKI
Greetings to you all in the name of the Risen Christ! Here, in our Parish, once again we have another memorable, joyful and blessed celebration take place.
On Saturday, May 9, 2026, relatives, friends, religious order representatives, mainly from D.M.I congregation, the FMS and the Dominican sisters, and the church congregation as a whole, gathered together to witness and celebrate the final profession mass of a Sister.
Sister Jeanear is a nun among the two Malaitan Girls who professed into the Charity Sisters congregation of St. Vincent de Paul society here in Buma on May 9, 2021. After being in the congregation for 5 years, she decided to commit her life fully for the congregation to follow Jesus Christ in the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul.
Bishop Jacob Aba S.M. is the main celebrant of the mass, with 12 Priests as con-celebrants. In the middle of the mass after the Sermon of the Bishop, the Sister come forward to make her vows before the Bishop and the Mother Superior of the Charity Sisters here. She then receives the blessing of the Bishop to conclude the rite. Indeed, it is a moving occasion for the Charity Sisters congregation as well for the church here.
After the celebration, people move on to the outdoor activities of feasting and entertainment. People remained in the Parish station until all programs ended before their return to their places.
With wishes and regards to you all!
Yours sincerely in the Risen Christ!
Fr. Albert Kalu
