Greetings to you all once again! Indeed a great blessing for all of us as we journey through the year and now looking forward for Christmas festive celebrations again.

Here, as we are at the final months of 2024, We Priests from the 3 Dioceses in S.I. have come together for a Priests retreat. It take place again in Holy Name of Mary Seminary, in Tenaru. The retreat started on Sunday 17th and goes on for Friday 22nd November. A total of 68 Priest attended.

Indeed, it is another life strengthening and renewing moment. The theme for this retreat is “As Servants of God, we are called to holiness”. We’ve been privilege to have Fr, Raphael Galve S.D.B. as our retreat Master. He come all the way from P.N.G.

In the week of retreat, we have time for Spiritual talks given to us by our retreat master. We also have time for masses, praying the divine office, adoration of the Blessed sacrament ,personal life experience sharing’s and going through the sacrament of reconciliation.

All of this  spiritual exercises aims at helping us to reverse from the wrong influence of life in this world and to follow the direction that leads to  Jesus Christ.”There is no condemnation  for those who live in union with Jesus Christ ” (Rm 8:1).

On Friday 22nd of November, we have ended the retreat. At 8.00 am, Mass is celebrated  where the Archbishop of Honiara, Bp Christopher Michael Cardone  O.P.  is the  main celebrant, assisted by all the Priests .Then all Priests join together in Lunch and later prepare for departure from the Seminary Compass.
