Greetings once again !

This year 2022, is another joyful time for Priests of the Archdiocese of Honiara and of Auki Diocese. They come together for their annual Priest’s Retreat in Buma Parish in Malaita, Auki Diocese.

Inter-diocese Priest Retreat, is a programme mandated by CBCSI, and it’s aim is to strengthen and renew Priests in their Ministerial lives and duty. Another reason is to create a bond of good fraternal interaction and working relationship among Priests of the two Dioceses, since Malaita and Guadalcanal are different dioceses with different cultural backgrounds.

This year, a total of 43 Priests attend the retreat, off this number 22 are from Honiara. Theme of the retreat is” Priest living  in the divine will of God” and the retreat master is Fr. James Ereai of the Holy Name of Mary Seminary. The retreat started on Sunday, 13 November, and ends on Friday the 18th, with celebration of Holy Mass. Then Priests have lunch together and then departed for their destinations. Indeed, the week of retreat gives strength and renewal to  each Priest.
