Greetings to you all as we enter this new year 2022 !

Here in Malaita the Anglican church welcomes the new year with its Priesthood ordination. The celebration takes place in St. John the Baptist Church, Gwaunao’a community in the west side of Malaita.Bishop Sam Sahu of the Anglican Diocese conveys the ordination rite with Clergies of the Diocese become Concelebrants.

I am so grateful to attend and witness this ordination in ecumenical spirit. About a thousand of people join in the celebration. They sing, dance and host a big feast to express their joy. Anglican church is one religion among the four churches in Malaita. Others churches are Catholic, S.S.E.C and the Seventh day Adventist.
